Hard, Dry & Cracked Skin

Hard skin. Hard skin forms primarily on the areas of the foot that are weight bearing and areas that rub against shoes such medial side of the big toe. it can become uncomfortable and cause pain if left untreated. Dry skin lacks moisture and can become flaky. Cracked skin ‘fissures’ can lead to infections, become sore and even bleed. Diabetics are often more susceptible to dry feet leading to fissures.
